Andrei Cristea

Andrei Cristea ( born May 15, 1984 in Bacău, Bacău county ) is a Romanian football player. He is since summer 2013 at FC Braşov under contract.

Career

Cristea began his career with the FCM Bacau, where he was brought into the first team in 2001. Already in the first season was the club sixth in the league. After rank 12 in the 2002/03 season jumped the following year out of 13th place, which meant relegation again.

In 2004 he moved to Bucharest giants Steaua. Already in the first season with Cristea the championship was won. Also the striker could play for the first time at European level. He made his debut on 16 September 2004 against CSKA Sofia from Bulgaria in the game of the first round of the UEFA Cup. He was substituted at half-time for Daniel Opriţa and the game was won 2-1. Steaua came across this UEFA Cup season to the second round, where against Villarreal was the last stop. In the 2005/06er season of league title could be defended.

As a result, he returned Steaua his back and moved to the league rivals FC Timişoara. There Cristea could reach the seventh place in the final standings of the Championship with the club. He also reached the Cup final, where he lost to Rapid Bucharest 0-2. Cristea came in the 55th minute for Gueye Mansour into play. After a further six months in Timişoara, the striker went on loan to Politehnica Iaşi, which lay at the end of the season in eleventh place.

In 2008 he returned to Bucharest and signed with Dinamo. After half a year and some applications he again became Politehnica Iaşi, where he joined the league was 14, granted. In the 2009/10 season he was back in the squad of Dinamo. At the end of the season he was top scorer with 16 League 1

In January 2011 he moved to Germany to second division club Karlsruher SC. There he contributed in the second half with six goals in eleven matches to avoid relegation of Baden. In the summer break Cristea had to undergo knee surgery, so he did not stand for the KSC longer time. The injury went on for almost the entire 2011/12 season away. After the descent of the Baden he returned in the summer of 2012 to Dinamo Bucharest back. There he could only enter once on the scoresheet in the season 2012/13. In the summer of 2013 he moved to league rivals FC Braşov.

National

International Cristea previously played nine times for the Romanian national football team. He made his debut on 11 October 2003 friendly match against Japan when he came on in the 82nd minute for Dorinel Munteanu. After four and a half years Cristea had not been taken into account, he returned in October 2009 against Serbia back into the national team. On 2 June 2010, he played his last match in the friendly against Macedonia.
