2009–10 Liga I

The League 1 2009/10 was the 72th season in the history of the highest Romanian football league. It began on July 31, 2009 and ended on May 22, 2010. From mid-December to mid-February rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion CFR Cluj. Descent had Politehnica Iaşi, Piatra Neamt Ceahlăul and Unirea Alba Iulia. Actually Pandurii Târgu Jiu would have had to descend, but was allowed to stay in the league, Da International Curtea de Arges got no license.

Regulate

The League 1 played with 18 teams. The four last-place teams were relegated to the Liga II, ascended from the four teams ( the top two from each of the two seasons ). For a victory, there were three points for a draw and one point for a loss no points. If two or more teams finish the season were tied, decided not goal difference, but a direct comparison.
