1972–73 Divizia A
The Divizia A 1972/73 the 35th season in the history of Romanian football league was Divizia A. It began on August 20, 1972 and ended on 24 June 1973. From mid-December to early March rested the game operation ( winter break ). Champion Dinamo Bucharest.

The Divizia A played with 16 teams. While there were two climbers, no team was relegated from the Divizia B since the league was expanded to 18 teams. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.
