2009–10 Gambrinus liga

The Gambrinus League 2009/10 was the 17th season of the highest Czech league in football, the Gambrinus Liga. It took place from July 25, 2009 until May 23, 2010 with a winter break of 23 November 2009 to 19 February 2010.

16 teams played a total of 30 game days divided into a back and a second round each against each other twice. For a victory, there were three, one for a draw and a defeat for no point. Master was at the end of the season Sparta Prague, relegated to the second league had to be replaced Labem, the two teams with the least points, FK Bohemians Prague, SK Kladno, nad in the season 2010/11 by the two second division team FC Hradec Králové and FK Ústí.

The bottom club FK Bohemians Prague were withdrawn during the season for contempt of the Football Association, violations of the association rules and distortion of competition 20 points.

From the 2nd league in 2008/ 09 were Bohemians 1905 Prague and the first FC Slovácka ascended, which had replaced the two relegated FC Zlín and FK Viktoria Zizkov Tescoma.

The Czech champions Sparta Prague qualified for the qualification for the UEFA Champions League 2010/11. To qualify for the UEFA Europa League 2010 /11, the runner- FK Jablonec Baumit qualified as well as third-placed FC Banik Ostrava. In addition, cup winner Viktoria Pilsen takes part in qualifying for the Europa League.
