Andrzej Badeński

Andrzej Badeński ( born May 10, 1943 in Warsaw, † 28 September 2008 in Bad Schwalbach ) was a Polish sprinter and Olympic third parties.

1966 won Badeński at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in the 400 - meter dash silver in 46.2 seconds behind his compatriot Stanisław Grędziński. Three days later, the final took place in the 4 x 400 - meter relay. In the occupation January Werner, Edmund Borowski, Badeński and Grędziński the Polish squadron won the national record time of 3:04,5 minutes before the two German couriers. 1971 won Badeński at the European Championships in Helsinki again silver in the relay.

1968 and 1971 he won at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid and Sofia over 400 meters, in Vienna in 1970, he won the silver medal.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he won the bronze medal in the 400 -meter run behind the Americans Mike Larrabee (Gold ) and the Trinidadian Wendell Mottley (silver). At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he came in individual competition on the seventh and in the relay to fourth place. In Munich in 1972 he reached the 400m semi-final and came up with the Polish relay to fifth place.

Andrzej Badeński was 1.75 m tall and weighed 68 kg. In 1974 he officially ended his athletic career and having lived in Germany ever since.
