Andrzej Górak

Andrzej Górak (* February 15, 1951 in Wadowice, Poland) is a Polish process engineer and holder of the Chair of Fluid Process Engineering at the Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering at the Technical University of Dortmund.

Career

Andrzej Górak studied from 1968 at the Technical University of Lodz in Poland chemistry and graduated in 1973 as a graduate engineer ( Mgr inz. ) From. After subsequent promotion of the rectification of multicomponent mixtures in 1979 at the Institute of Process Engineering Selbiger University he worked there until 1988 as a senior engineer. This was followed by a four-year industrial career as a research associate at the company Henkel KGaA in Dusseldorf. 1991 Habilitation Andrzej Górak at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the RWTH Aachen and the following year was Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Dortmund. Since 1995 he has been editor of the journal Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification. In 1996 he took over the Chair of Thermal Process Engineering at the University of Essen. After four years, he returned in 2000 as a professor to Dortmund to the faculty of Bio-and Chemical Engineering. Since 2003 he is also professor at the Technical University of Łódź. After Prof. Górak was Bio - and Chemical Engineering since 2009 Dean of the Faculty, he was elected by the Senate of the Technical University of Dortmund Vice President for Research in April 2011.
