Ann Richards (actress)

Ann Richards ( born December 20, 1917 in Sydney, Australia, † August 24, 2006 in Torrance, California, United States) was an Australian actress.

Life

Ann Richards began her career as an actress in Australian film productions and was among others in 1938 in Ken G. Hall's Dad and Dave Come to Town to see. In 1942, she finally went to Hollywood, where she signed a contract with MGM. In the same year she played a supporting role in Mervyn LeRoy's film drama found years ( Random Harvest ) on the side of Ronald Colman and Greer Garson. She would go on to star in William Dieterle's film Love Letters ( Love Letters, 1945) assume, but when Jennifer Jones was interested in the project, they got the lead role and Richards has been assigned a secondary role again. In 1948 she was in her perhaps most famous role in Anatole Litvak's thriller You're still alive 105 minutes ( Sorry, Wrong Number ) next to Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster to see. Four years later, she gave up her acting career.

Richards has been married twice and had three children. She died in 2006 at the age of 88 years in Torrance, California.
