Anna Green ( born August 20, 1990 in Stockport, England) is a New Zealand soccer player.

Life

Green was born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. But her family moved to New Zealand about 1994 and she grew up here in Palmerston North. Besides football studied Green, 2006-2010 Political Science at Massey University in Albany.

Clubs

Green began her career at the age of 8 years at Hokowhitu Junior FC in Palmerston North, Manawatu -Wanganui and in 1999 moved to city rivals Palmerston North Marist Football Club. It was followed by three years at North Marist FC before moving to Auckland with 12 years and the Epson Girls Grammar School visited. After her graduation in 2008 she enrolled at Massey University and played until 2010 in the Women Soccer Team. Before committing the 2010 Three Kings United joined .. After one and a half years, she left the Three Kings and went to Australia to Adelaide United. Green played 9 games for Adelaide United in the W-League, before joining the German Bundesliga 1 FC Locomotive Leipzig in January 2012. Her debut for Leipzig she had on February 26 at a first away defeat against FFC Frankfurt. After two years and the dissolution of the women's football department of the 1st FC Lok Leipzig, she returned to New Zealand and played for the Eastern Suburbs. For the season 2012/13 she moved to the W-League to the Australian football club Sydney FC. In January 2014, it announced the move to the next season to the English Notts County LFC.

National

Green played for the U -20 team in their country at the U -20 World Championships in 2008 and 2010.

Her debut for the senior team she made on 14 November 2006 in a match against China. She was part of the selection of their country at the 2008 Summer Olympics, as well as the Football World Cup 2011. 2012 she was with the New Zealand national team also participant in the Olympic Summer Games.
