Anna Sobecka

Anna Elżbieta Sobecka ( born March 27, 1951 in Piotrków Kujawski, Circle Radziejów, Poland) is a Polish politician and since 1997 Member of the Sejm of the III. , IV, V and VI. Election period.

Curriculum vitae

She is a graduate of a medical school and the Department of Chemistry at the University Toruń. In addition, she completed a so-called Catholic graduate studies in journalism and adult education at the Education Institute of the University Toruń. 1990 to 1994 she was Director of the Medical Vocational School in Toruń.

Since the first half of the 90s, it is closely connected with the Catholic- nationalist Radio Maria, where they often provide input. She is also a member of the "Land Secretariat for SOS Radio Maria ".

She is Dame of the Order of the Knights of the Holy grave in Jerusalem and a member of the Foundation " protection of life" of the Diocese of Toruń. From 1995 to 1998 she headed the Association of Catholic families in the Diocese of Toruń. She is active in the dissemination of the methods of natural family planning, and works as a consultant for families in the garrison parish in Toruń.

In the years 1997 to 2001 she was a Sejm deputy for Wyborcza Solidarność Akcja ( electoral alliance Solidarity - AWS). She left the group with Jan Lopuszanski. 2001 and 2005 it was for the league Polskich Rodzin ( League of Polish Families - LPR) elected to the Sejm, in 2005 it reached 13,761 votes from the constituency Toruń. She led the Sejm Committee on Family and Women's Rights and was a member of the Committee on Culture and Mass Media. On 22 September 2006 she appeared along with other deputies in the newly established Ruch Ludowo - Narodowy (People's National Movement - RLN ) a. Since the 18th of December this year, she was Member of the Ruch Ludowo - Chrześcijański (People's Christian Metallic Movement). In May 2007, she again became members of the RLN. In the 2007 parliamentary elections it was with 15,180 votes from the list of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS) elected to the Sejm and is a member of the Sejm committees for health, culture and mass media.

Controversies

Controversy aroused their statements about Krystian Legierski, a colored activists of the gay movement, which they called a person who " is at least half of non-Polish nationality."

She had to strain the idea childless citizens with an increased rate and introduce state pensions for mothers who abandon their work because of child rearing.

In May 2007, Anna Sobecka called for a ban on the subject of homosexuality on television to report.
