Annette Vilhelmsen

Annette Vilhelmsen ( born October 24, 1959 in Svendborg ) is a Danish politician of the Socialist People's Party.

Life

Annette Vilhelmsen worked from 1983 to 2001 as a teacher. Since 2001 she was a municipal councilor in Kerteminde. After the general election in 2011, she moved into the Folketing. As Villy Søvndal resigned in September 2012 from the party chairmanship, she announced her candidacy. On October 13, 2012, she was elected to a membership referendum on the new chairman. Your competitor Astrid Krag received only a third of the votes.

On 16 October 2012 she appeared as industrial growth and a Minister in the Cabinet Thorning- Schmidt. To raise the social profile of their party in public, she moved on August 9, 2013 the Ministry of Social Affairs. The government crisis surrounding the sale of the energy company Dong Energy, carried out on 30 January 2014 at her resignation from the party presidency and ended the government of the SF. The government intends to support also from the opposition to sell 19 % of the company to the American bank Goldman Sachs, while more than 200,000 Danes have signed an online petition.

Annette Vilhelmsen is married and has two children.
