Astrid Krag

Astrid Krag Kristensen ( born November 17, 1982 in Vejle ) is a Danish politician ( Social Democrat ) and was from 2011 to 2014 Minister of Health and Prevention.

Life

The daughter of a lyricist and a high school teacher was after visiting the school Tørring Office in whose student council, she was a member between 1999 and 2001, from 2001 to 2002 worked as a Teaching Assistant in nursery of the hospital Frederiksberg. During this time she became involved in the Socialist People's Party ( SF) and candidate in the general election in 2001 and 2005 in the constituency of Vejle. She also became involved in the asylum and refugee policy and was from 2002 to 2003 Managing Editor of appearing in the Balkans magazine Dijalog.

Between 2003 and 2007 she studied in a bachelor's degree program political science at the University of Copenhagen. At the same time she was 2003-2005 Student assistant at the social and health school in Copenhagen. Between 2005 and 2007 Krag sat in front of the youth organization of the SF, since 2006 she was a member of the Integration Working Group. In 2007, she worked as a nurse in the Amager district and as an editor at the magazine Virak. In 2007 she became a member of the Board and of the Executive Committee of the SF in Copenhagen.

In the general election in 2007 Astrid Krag was elected deputies in the Folketing and represents there since the constituency Sealand Stork Reds. During this time, she was both the SF spokeswoman for integration, asylum, citizenship and seniors as well as vice chairman of the Folketing 's Committee on Immigration and integration policy. In addition, it was at times a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Social Committee. Most recently, she was vice- chairman of the SF Group in the Folketing.

On 3 October 2011 she was appointed by Prime Minister Helle Thorning -Schmidt to the Minister for Health and Prevention in the newly formed government. In October 2012, she ran for the SF- party chairmanship, but had to for a membership referendum its competitor Annette Vilhelmsen beaten. After the SF had cancels the coalition government on 30 January 2014 she stepped over to the Social Democrats.

Astrid Krag lives together with the known in Denmark under the stage name AndyOp rapper Andreas Seebach.
