Style of music and texts

Compared to the previous In Their Darkened Shrines of the band featured on a Annihilation of the Wicked far less agyptisch sounding samples. The songs are described as catchy as its predecessor, while also sometimes borrowing from other genres, such as the use of a black metal riffs in Lashed to the Slave Stick, are characteristic. The songs usually have a progressive character. The game speed is often very high, such as in Cast Down the Heretic, but is also sometimes reduced, so that songs like From unspeakable cults and User - Maat- Re have a Doom Metal character. The band are less technical than its predecessor, while the songs turn out brutal. Characteristic also is the use of some genre foreign instruments, such as the use of a bouzouki (other sources speak of a Baglamas ). Lyrically, the songs were, as usual, inspired by Egyptian mythology, as well as by the works of HP Lovecraft. So the song was named by unspeakable cults after the work of Lovecraft.
