Anthony Lopes

Anthony Lopes ( born October 1, 1990 in Givors, France ) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Olympique Lyon on the position of the goalkeeper. He also holds French citizenship.

Career

Olympique Lyon

Lopes came from the youth academy of Olympique Lyon. For the season 2011/12 Lopes was promoted to the first team. He made the semi-finals of the French Cup in 2011/12 his first competitive game. His team walked away with a 4-0 win away from the square. Later, the team lifted the trophy. The French Supercup could win Lopes as a substitute goalkeeper. The title defense was lost 3-1 against OGC Nice; Lopes was over the full season in goal. On 6 December 2012, he played his first international match for Lyon in the UEFA Europa League against Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

National

For the U -19 Portugal, he completed a match against Greece. He got the full 90 minutes in goal and his team won 1-0. With the U -21 Lopes played a successful European Championship qualifier.
