Antigua, Fuerteventura

Antigua is one of the six municipalities of the Canary Island of Fuerteventura. The valley is the administrative center of the municipality.

General

Antigua is one of the oldest church of the island. The central place in the 19th century was temporarily the capital of the island, Puerto del Rosario 1835 she broke off. Before the second half of the 16th century immigrants from the mainland to settle on Antigua belonged to the parish of Betancuria.
