Antonino Asta
Antonino Asta ( born November 17, 1970 in Alcamo ) is a former Italian football player and coach.
Playing career
In the club
The lower leagues
Asta played in Corbetta and Abbiategrasso before he made his debut in Saronno in professional football. From 1995 to 1997 he was a regular player at AC Monza in the third highest league in Italy. In 1997 he moved to Torino FC in Serie B.
Turin, Naples and Palermo
With Turin Asta achieved promotion to the highest Italian league in the season 1998 /99. On August 28, 1999, he made his debut in Serie A in a game against Bologna. In January 2000, the midfielder was sold to Napoli, but the end of the season he returned to Turin, where he played for two more seasons. The last two years (2002-2004) before his resignation he played in Palermo.
In the National Team
Asta graduated in his career, a game for the Italian national football team. In his only international match put him Giovanni Trapattoni on 13 February 2002 against the United States from the beginning of the game to a, at the beginning of the second half, he has been replaced.
Coaching career
Since 2005 he has worked as a coach in the youth team of FC Turin.
