Antonio Corradini

Antonio Corradini ( born September 6, 1668 Este, † June 29, 1752 in Naples) was a Venetian sculptor of the Rococo.

Life

Corradini was born in Este. He worked mainly in the territory of the Republic of Venice, but he received orders from outside.

Cappella Sansevero

The Cappella Sansevero is a baroque church with numerous marble sculptures in the center of the historic center of Naples, Italy. Corradini was mentioned here in 1717, when he completed the " Veiled Truth". He created the chastity ( Pudicizia ). The "Christ, covered with the shroud " in the same chapel presented his pupil Giuseppe Sanmartino (1720-1793) finished.

On September 8, 1741 wife Maria died in Schottenhof with 48 years of dropsy. The court granted him on January 26, 1743 for an extended leave of Vienna. He died in Naples on June 29, 1752.
