Antonio Roma

Manuel Antonio Roma ( born July 13, 1932 in Villa Lugano, a suburb of Buenos Aires, † February 20, 2013 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine football player.

Association

The goalkeeper Antonio Roma was called by the fans because of his fearless occurrence at high flanks Tarzan. Roma began his professional career in 1955 with Ferro Carril Oeste and changed the end of 1959, together with Silvio Marzolini to Boca Juniors. He also was a member of the victorious Argentinean -studded Campeonato Sudamericano 1957. There he acted as substitute goalkeeper behind Rogelio Domínguez. Also in 1967 he belonged to the Argentine squad for the South American Championships and was with the Albiceleste Vice - South American champions.
