Arâches-la-Frasse

Arâches la Frasse is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie. The municipality has 1823 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

Geography

The community Arâches la Frasse consists of the villages of La Frasse Treydon, Balancy, Craytoral, Arâches and Lay; also includes the ski resorts Carroz and Flaine to the community. It lies in the valley of the Arve east of Cluses at an altitude between 560 m above sea level. Sea level and 2466 m above sea level. NN.

The neighboring communities are Saint -Sigismond, Morillon, Sixt -Fer -à- Cheval, Magland and Cluses.

History

In 1973, the then independent municipalities Arâches and de La Frasse have come together since 2000 carries the municipality that initially only Arâches meant the double name.
