Arborio, Piedmont

Arborio ( Piedmontese: Arbeu ) is a municipality with 924 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Vercelli (VC ), Region Piedmont. It is eponymous for the crops in the area Arborio rice, Carnaroli and the next Vialons known Italian rice.

Neighboring municipalities are Ghislarengo, Greggio, Landiona, Recetto, Rovasenda, San Giacomo Vercelli, Sillavengo, Vicolungo and Villarboit. Patron saint, the apostle Peter (San Pietro).
