Architects (British band)

Architects are a mathcore band from Brighton, England, founded in 2004, the band had many name changes.; her first band name was " inharmonic ", which they then in " Counting the Days" changed. A few years later they finally called themselves " Architects".

Band History

Founded in 2004, the band began in 2005 with the recording of their first demo. After the band had attracted the attention of Distort Entertainment to be released in 2006, the debut album Nightmares of the band, whose members were at the time, on average, only 17 years old.

In 2007 their second album Ruin on which the new singer Sam Carter was heard for the first time after in January of the same year singer Matt Johnson had left the band for personal reasons. The album was a huge success and the band played for the first time outside the UK with As I Lay Dying, Sikth, Gallows and The Holly Springs Disaster. In addition, they took part in the download festival.

2008 Ruin of Century Media Records re-released with bonus tracks. Moreover Architects with Dead Swans took on a split EP, which was released under Thirty Days of Night Records. In the same year, the band toured in the U.S. with bands like Suicide Silence, Emmure, Beneath the Massacre and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. In addition, a European Altamonte Never Say followed Die! Tour with Whitechapel, Protest the Hero, Carnifex, Parkway Drive, Unearth, and Despised Icon.

End of January 2009, the third studio album Hollow Crown was released under Century Media Records. As the album title suggested, treated the lyrics of the album themes such as arrogance and obsession. Then they played on the Vainstream Rock Fest, and on other festivals like With Full Force. On 24 September 2010, the first digital single from the band appeared under the name Day In Day Out.

For the 21th January 2011, the band announced their fourth album The Here and Now. A month later, the band confirmed that bassist Alex Dean has left the band due to family commitments.

On 3 July 2011, the band announced on their Facebook page that the former bassist Alex 'Ali Dino ' Dean return back to the band.

In the spring of 2012, the U.S. band Rise Against on their European tour as the opening act support Architects ( Touché Amoré and ).

On 16 April 2012, the band announced on their Facebook page that guitarist Tim Hillier - Brook will leave the band and gives his last appearance with Architects on the Groezrock festival. He was replaced on the same day by Sylosis guitarist Josh Middleton.

Music style

Architects play technical, but at the same atmospheric metalcore with influences from post-hardcore and mathcore. The band also used alongside guttural vocals and clean vocals.
