The Ari Atoll ( Alif also or Alifu Atoll; Dhivehi: އ ) is one of the largest atolls in the archipelago of the Maldives. The 105 islands of the natural atolls extending in an almost rectangular shape over an area of ​​about 89 × 30 km. The atoll had 12,056 inhabitants to the 2006 census. These, 1,780 lived on Mahibadhoo, the most populated island.

With a total area of ​​2252 km ², including lagoon and Riffplattform the Ari Atoll is the third largest in the Maldives, Boduthiladhunmathi ( Thiladhunmathi - Miladhunmadulu ) and the Huvadhu Atoll.

The atoll is located in the west of the Maldives. The northern part of Alif Alif Atoll is part of the administration ( which includes the Rasdhoo Atoll and the Toddu Atoll belong ), while the southern portion forms the administrative atoll Alif Dhaal.
