Arizona State Route 202

Arizona State Route 202 is a partially -built highway in the U.S. state of Arizona.

The highway begins at Interstate 10 and Arizona State Route 51 in Phoenix and ends in Chandler just off Interstate 10, he serves as a beltway around the city of Phoenix, the capital of Arizona. He meets the cities of Tempe, Mesa and Gilbert. Upon completion, it can be divided into three sections Red Mountain Freeway, Santan Freeway and South Mountain Freeway.

Course

The Red Mountain Freeway runs from the I-10/AZ 51 to U.S. 60 and passes through the towns of Tempe and Mesa. The section of the Higley Road to Power Road was completed in June 2005. Currently the ends AZ 202 on the Power Road, which will open the last section to the University Drive until the end of 2008. A three miles long piece from the University Road to U.S. 60 was end of June 2007 and opened to traffic.

The Santan Freeway begins at U.S. 60 and passes through the cities of Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler and back to I- 10th The last section of freeway was opened in June 2006.

The South Mountain Freeway is a scheduled portion that is to run from I- 10 to the west of Phoenix. According to current planning, the much needed part will be completed in 2013.
