Arlempdes
Arlempdes is a commune with 131 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Haute- Loire in the Auvergne region. It is classified as one of the plus beaux villages de France ( most beautiful villages in France ).
Geography
The village Arlempdes is just thirty kilometers from its source in the Loire Valley. On a rock of volcanic origin are the ruins of the castle, of which one has a wide view of the river.
The landscape is dominated by basalt columns.
Arlempdes is a municipality with 1,300 hectares spread over a dozen villages and hamlets. In the village itself there are few people. It is a small village with old houses.
Arlempdes is situated seven kilometers away from the National Road 88.
