Arlindo Gomes Furtado

Arlindo Gomes Furtado (* November 15, 1949 in Santa Catarina ) is a Cape Verde priest and bishop of Santiago de Cabo Verde.

Life

Arlindo Gomes Furtado received on 18 July 1976, the ordination. John Paul II appointed him on 14 November 2003 as Bishop of Mindelo.

The bishop of Santiago de Cabo Verde, Paulino do Livramento Évora CSSp, donated to him on 22 February of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were José Câmnate na Bissign, Bishop of Bissau, and Albino Mamede Cleto, Bishop of Coimbra.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 22 July 2009 to the bishop of Santiago de Cabo Verde.
