Armenian calendar
The Armenian calendar ( Old Armenian era ) is a subspecies of the Egyptian calendar. Its introduction is related to the separation of the Armenian Apostolic church of the Roman Empire Church. It begins in the year 552 AD First day (epoch ) is by Julian Calendar July 11 552 Until the introduction of Christianity, BC from August 11, 2492 assumed ( legendary victory of King Hayk, king of Babylon Bel ).
Year figures
The annual numbers are written with one to four letters of the Armenian alphabet, preceded by " ԹՎ " for թվին ( t'vin = year).
