Armgard, Countess of Rietberg

ARMGARD of Rietberg ( Irmgard or Ermengard; † July 13, 1584 ) was from 1565 to 1584 Countess of Rietberg.

She was the older of the two daughters of John II and Agnes of Bentheim and Steinfurt. They married on January 3, 1568 Count Erich von Hoya. In a division of an estate on 27 September 1576 received Rietberg, her sister Walburgis the Harlingerland. After the death of her first husband she married on June 26, 1578 Simon VI. to the lip.

ARMGARD died childless on 13 July 1584 and the County of Rietberg fell to her sister Walburga, so that the county and Harlingerland were reunited in one hand.
