Simon VI, Count of Lippe

Life

Simon was the son of Count Bernhard of Lippe VIII (1527-1563) and his wife Catherine (1524-1583), daughter of Count Philipp III. of Waldeck -Eisenberg and Anne of Cleves. Since he was still a minor when his father died, took over his uncle Hermann Simon to Pyrmont to 1579 the regency.
