Arnel Pineda

Arnel Pineda ( born September 5, 1967 in Sampaloc, Manila ) is a Filipino singer and songwriter.

Since December 2007 he has been the lead singer of the American rock band Journey. Previously, he was a solo artist at Warner Bros. contract before he was up in 2006 to joining Journey, frontman of the Filipino rock band The Zoo.

Before boxing match for the WBO welterweight title Manny Pacquiao against Joshua Clottey Pineda sang the Lupang Hinirang Philippine National Anthem. However, he was criticized for that he sang too slow.
