Arnold I of Laurenburg

Arnold I of Lauren Castle († 1148 ) was from the House of Nassau and was from 1123 Count of Lauren Castle.

Arnold I of Lauren Castle was the second son of Count Dudo - Henry of Lauren Castle and Anastasia von Arnstein. He was from 1123 Count of Lauren Castle and from 1124 Vogt of the monastery of St. George's church in Limburg an der Lahn and Vogt of Idstein. Together with his brother Ruprecht I. he built the castle Nassau.

Progeny

Arnold was married, his wife, however, is not known. He had two children with her:

  • Henry I († August 1167 )
  • Ruprecht III. the Quarrelsome ( † around 1191 )
