Aroldo Tieri

Aroldo Tieri ( born August 28, 1917 in Corigliano Calabro, Calabria; † 29 December 2006 ) was an Italian actor.

Life

Tieri was seen in over 100 Italian films as an actor. His career began in 1939 with the historical film Manon Lescaut by director Carmine gallon on the side of Alida Valli and Vittorio De Sica. It was followed by productions with many famous national as well as international directors such as 1961 in Clément's Hold on the bomb, darling ( Che gioia vivere ) on the side of Alain Delon and Ugo Tognazzi, or 1967 in Stenos stage pigs (La Feldmarescialla ) with Rita Pavone. His last film he made in 1969 and played from now on exclusively in the theater.

2001, Roberto Benigni offered him the role of the judge in his Pinocchio film. Had great success especially with comedies on the side of the comedian Totò.
