Arosio TI

Arosio is part of the municipality of Alto Ticino Malcantone, in a circle Breno in the district of Lugano and located in the upper Malcantone.

Arosio consists of two separate settlements Terra di Sopra and Terra di sotto and is predominantly residential community.

Reported is the Roman road from Ponte Tresa to Monte Ceneri by the municipality. 1335 the church was mentioned as Aroxio.

Arosio merged on 14 March 2005, the former municipalities Breno, Fescoggia, Mugena and Vezio the new municipality Alto Malcantone.
