Arthur Lowe (tennis)

Life

Arthur Lowe, the younger brother of Gordon Lowe, came in 1886 in Birmingham in Edgbaston district to the world. From 1905 he took part in tournaments, in 1906, he retired in his first appearance at the tournament of Wimbledon in the second round against Albert Davis Prebble. His best result he reached there in 1910, when he retired only in the semi-final against Beals Wright. In doubles, he could also achieve at Wimbledon in 1913 to his brother Gordon of the page the semifinals.

Lowe stepped up to the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912 in singles and doubles, but could not achieve a medal. Between 1911 and 1920 he played five matches in the Davis Cup, but all had to leave.

Lowe won the tournament at London's Queen's Club three times. Most recently, he played in 1929 in the single of the Wimbledon Championships. He died in the 1950s in London.
