The Asheville Regional Airport ( IATA: AVL, ICAO: KAVL ) is a regional airport in the state of the United States of North Carolina and is located in the village of Fletcher, 14.5 km south of Asheville. It is located off Interstate 26 and Interstate 40 at an altitude of 660 m above sea level. Operator of the airport is the city of Asheville. 2003 441.811 passengers were handled here.
