Ashley Walker (basketball)

Ashley Walker ( born February 24, 1987 in Stockton, California, United States) is a professional basketball player. Since 2009 she plays for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association.

Career

College (2005 to 2009)

Walker studied from 2005 to 2009 at UC Berkeley, where she received her degree in American Studies in 2009. During her time at the College Walker also played for the women's basketball team at the University of the California Golden Bears. Walker played mostly on the position of the forward and the center. She is the first player of the Golden Bears, who scored more than 1,000 points, 800 rebounds, 200 assists and 100 blocks.

WNBA (since 2009)

Because of their outstanding performance for the Golden Bears, she was selected in the WNBA Draft 2009 by the Seattle Storm at the total twelfth place.
