Asiavision (news exchange)

In Asiavision is an Asian organization with the aim of regular exchange of messages between Asian broadcasting organizations. Neither political nor economic objectives, only to promote the free exchange of messages. It is one of the Asia- Pacific Broadcasting Union ( ABU ) project.

The action center is located in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. With two satellite transmissions on the day the most important events to be replaced such as natural disasters and political events. At an annual awards most qualitative broadcasting organizations are excellent.

History

The program was founded on January 16, 1984, five members (BTV, PTV, RTB, RTM, and SLRC ). After expansion, the project in 2001 has been completely digitized. Until 2005 there was only one message exchange per day, then was incremented to accommodate the increasing number of members.
