Association of Mirecourt Country communes

The Communauté de communes de la Pays de Mirecourt is a municipal merger ( Communauté de communes ) of twelve municipalities of the canton French Mirecourt in Lorraine Vosges department.

The Local Government Association has 8,670 inhabitants (2006) to 68.91 km ², which is / corresponds to a population density of 126 inhabitants km ².

Headquarters of the Federation, which roughly translates to say Mirecourter country, is the small town of Mirecourt. All member communities are located on or near the Mosel tributary Madon and around the airport Epinal Mirecourt. and have, in comparison to the surrounding area on a higher density of industrial plants. President of the Association of Local Authorities is Jean Demard who officiates also as Mayor of Poussay.

The Local Government Association was established on 31 December 1997 from the Association for the Advancement of the airport Epinal Mirecourt with the aim of the material resources of the community in order to bundle the airfield and to coordinate economic development. The six founding congregations were Mirecourt, Juvaincourt, Poussay, Domvallier, Puzieux and Ramecourt. On 24 July 2003, the municipalities Ambacourt and Thiraucourt were added, on 1 January 2007, Chauffecourt, Hymont, Mazirot and Villers joined.

To the field of the local association includes regional planning and inter-communal economic and tourism development. The Communauté de communes de la Pays de Mirecourt has also set a goal to work closely together in the areas of environmental protection and quality of living.
