Association of the Mynes and southern Upper Vosges communes

The Communauté de communes of Mynes et Hautes -Vosges du sud is a municipal merger ( Communauté de communes ) of five municipalities in the department of Vosges in Lorraine. The name refers to the geographic location in the southern Upper Vosges and the earlier of mining in the region a ( Mynes = mines ). Up to March 2007 was named the Association Communauté de communes du Val de Rupt et Bresse.

The Local Government Association has 11,313 inhabitants (2006) to 111.41 km ², which is / corresponds to a population density of 102 inhabitants km ².

Seat of the association is the small town of La Bresse. All member communities are, with the exception of La Bresse in the upper Moselle in the Vosges.

The Local Government Association was established on 5 December 2006 in order to concentrate the material resources of the community and to coordinate economic development.

To the field of the local association includes regional planning as well as the cross-community business and tourism development. The Communauté de communes of Mynes et Hautes -Vosges du sud has also set a goal to work closely together in the areas of environmental protection, preservation and management of cultural and sports facilities and housing policy.
