Atilla Birlik

Atilla Birlik ( born November 27, 1977 in Ludwigshafen, Germany) is a Turkish football player.

Career

In youth Birlik played at the Ludwigshafen SC and from 1993 at SV Waldhof Mannheim. In 1996, he penetrated to the A- youth of the SV Waldhof to the finals of the German A Youth Championship, but it lost to Borussia Dortmund 0-2 gates.

His second league debut on 26 May 1997 lasted only a few minutes. In the derby against 1.FC Kaiserslautern he saw after a foul on Martin Wagner and subsequent assault against Gerry Ehrmann red card ( 67 minutes ). In the 64 minutes he was on as a substitute by coach Uwe Rapolder.

This game was his only in the 2nd Bundesliga for Waldhof Mannheim. After the descent of the SVW 1997, he remained loyal to the club and fired to 1999 in 62 Regional games 11 goals.

For the 1999/2000 season, he joined the Turkish Süper Lig Beşiktaş Istanbul. There, however, he was only a reserve player and went in 2000 to Antalyaspor, where he presented his goalscoring proof. 2002/ 03 he tried to enforce in German professional football. He transferred to SpVgg Greuther Fürth (2nd league) and scored two goals in 23 games.

Then he went back to Turkey, where he played from 2003 to 2009 at five different clubs in the first, second and third Turkish league.

Statistics

With Beşiktaş, he played twice in the Champions League, with Antalyaspor twice in the UEFA Cup.
