Audenge

Audenge is a commune in the Gironde department in the region of Aquitaine. The municipality is located in the catchment area of the city of Bordeaux. While Audenge in 1962 still had 2001 inhabitants, is one you currently 6367 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

The municipality is the capital ( chef-lieu ) of the canton in the Arrondissement Audenge Arcachon.

Audenge is northeast of Arcachon located on the opposite bank of the Bassin d' Arcachon between the municipalities Biganos and Andernos -les- Bains.

The municipality is located in the Regional Natural Park Landes de Gascogne.
