Arrondissement of Arcachon

The district Arcachon is an administrative district in the Gironde department in Aquitaine region of France.

History

The district Arcachon was formed with effect from 1 January 2007 as a spin- four cantons of the arrondissement of Bordeaux.

Management

The district is subdivided into four cantons:

• Canton Arcachon
• Canton Audenge
• Canton Belin- Béliet
• Canton of La Teste- de-Buch

Sub-prefect

At the sub-prefect of the arrondissements were appointed:

• Philippe Ramon, December 10, 2006 to June 19, 2009
• Pascal Gauci, since June 20, 2009
