Auf'm Knoll is a 739.1 m above sea level. NN high mountain in Rothaargebirge on the border of Waldeck- Frankenberg in northern Hesse to Hochsauerlandkreis in North Rhine -Westphalia ( Germany ).

Geography

Location

Auf'm Knoll is located in the northeast part of the Rothaargebirge at the interface of seamlessly merging mountain regions and Upland Sauerland with the Diemelsee Nature Park (Northern Hessen) in the north and Rothaargebirge Nature Park ( Westphalia ) in the south. Its summit rises between Stryck in the northwest and in the northeast Usseln ( districts of Willingen ) and Titmaringhausen in the southeast (district of Medebach ). Approximately 700 m (straight line ) north-east of the summit rises the Diemel, about 350 m northwest of the Aarbach.

Watershed

Auf'm Knoll is on the Diemel-Eder/Fulda/Weser-Wasserscheide. This means that the current flowing to the northeast Diemel drained directly into the Weser, while the waters of the south of the mountain springing streams a southerly detour via the river Wilde Aa ( " eagle "), which at a few kilometers south-west to Krutenberg springs and there flows in an easterly direction, make the Weser Orke, Eder and Fulda.
