Augustin Deleanu

Augustin Deleanu Pax ( born August 27, 1944 in Măgurele, Ilfov County, † March 27, 2014 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian football player. He completed 325 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A, and participated in the World Cup 1970.

Career

Augustin Deleanu began his career with Steaua Bucharest. After he did not come there in 1962/ 63 for the course, he moved to CSMS Iaşi ( 1967 Politehnica Iaşi ). For CSMS he played his first appearance in Divizia A on 24 November 1963. Subsequently, he was first-team regular and in 1966 the national team. In 1967 he joined with police from the Divizia B, but managed its chances of promotion. A year later, in 1969, Deleanu got the opportunity to go to the top Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest. Here he experienced his most successful period, and was three times the Romanian champions. After losing in the 1975/76 season his place, Deleanu moved to league rivals Jiul Petrosani and ended there after just one season in 1977 his career. He then worked as a referee and active in the club's management of Dinamo Bucharest.

National

Deleanu was used 25 times in the Romanian national team. His debut celebrated on November 26, 1966 against Italy. National trainer Angelo Niculescu nominated him though for the Football World Cup 1970 in Mexico, put it there, but not a.
