Austin Film Critics Association

The Austin Film Critics Association (abbr.: AFCA ) is an organization of film critics from the U.S. Austin, in the state of Texas. It awards since the 2005 annual Film Award, the Austin Film Critics Association Award. A special award will be given to films that were either filmed in Austin or coming from a director who comes from Austin or surrounding area.

History

The Austin Film Critics Association was founded by the film critics Cole Dabney and Robert " Bobby" McCurdy 2005. She has now (as of 2013) 25 members The group called the Breakthrough Artist Award by Bobby McCurdy, who died during training in the Naval Air Training 2010.
