Austwell is a small town in Refugio County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The place is located in the southwest of Texas at San Antonio Bay, is about 10 km from the Gulf of Mexico and has a total area of 0.9 km ², without significant water surface. About 13 km south of Austwell is the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, one of the most important reserves for the whooping crane.
