Avalon High (film)
The daughter of Avalon (Original Title: Avalon High) is an American Disney Channel Original Movie of the year 2010, which is based on the book by Meg Cabot.
Action
Allie Pennington moves in with her parents, who are professors of Medieval Literature, to Avalon. There she wants to apply for the track team of Avalon High. While jogging, she meets Will Wagner, the - as Allie learns later - quarterback of the school and one of the Most Popular of Avalon, who is also with Jen together. On the way to the classroom she sees Miles from Marco, the step-brother of Will, is being bullied.
During class she sits next to Miles, who suddenly get severe headaches and Allie advises to tie their shoes, although they are bound. In teaching the subject of King Arthur is taken and the teacher, Mr. Moore, divides the class into teams in order to increase various topics. Allie and her partner Miles get the theme of " Order of the Bear". After school Allie tried to apply for the track team and sees Will and his team members during training. But suddenly she sees Will and the other as a knight. As Allie wants to start running, they must realize that their shoelaces are open.
In the evening, Miles comes to Allie home to work with her on the Unit. During the investigation Miles suffered a bad headache again, bringing ice to give this Allie, which then strikes his foot. Allie and Miles go to Allie's parents to ask them to the " Order of the Bear". These tell the two is that this is a group of people who believe that King Arthur is reborn. As Allie asks when that time should be, Allies mother thinks that Arthur then returns when the world is taken over by the darkness. But then Arthur's evil half-brother Mordred will return. At night, Allie can not sleep and she looks again the book of the Order to which they got from their parents. When you flick she sees a crown, and on the other side of a drawing from Camelot Castle, which looks exactly like the Avalon High.
The next day she sees on the way to the cafeteria Wills girlfriend Jen with his best friend Lance flirting. But the two detached from each other, as they are noticed by Allie. After school Allie goes jogging in the forest he meets Will. The two talk and Will tells her that everyone wants to talk to him only about football, although he does not want this. He said that earlier Football was important for him, but he felt too much pressure, because it needs to win the next game, otherwise he would not sports scholarship. Allie tries to comfort him and reminds him of how the victory, must feel. In addition, she invites him to Burger food at his home. Home invites Will Allie to a party the next day.
Allie and Miles go to Will's party and witness a confrontation between Will and Marco. Marco has all the food infested with vermin and regrets his mother, because these Wills father married. As Allie searches the bathroom, she sees a crown that looks exactly like that of the Book of Order. It also provides back Jen and Lance flirting and runs away. Also, Jen has seen Allie and runs after her. Jen brings Allie and pulls her into an abandoned room. Jen asks Allie Will nothing to tell, since this is anyway because of the football game under stress. Allie runs away without an answer and met Miles who knows Jen and Lance, as he already had a vision before.
Gradually, Allie realizes that Will is King Arthur and Mordred Marco. From her parents she learns that the reincarnation of the day of the game will be. Therefore Allie Will no longer be out of sight. On the evening of the game Will Jen and Lance sees flirting and drives off angry. Allie runs after him. She finds him in the forest and confesses to him that he is King Arthur. Will understands this wrong and believes that Allie encouraged him to return to the game and help his team. He goes to the game, but forgets his helmet in the locker room and go back again. As Allie and Miles come into the locker room, Will is gone. Since Miles sees that Will is in the theater spaces. The two kids get there on the road and find Marco lying on the floor. And also Will they find. Will Allie explained everything again and tells him that Marco is Mordred. This is denied by Will and thinks that Marco wanted to protect him. Suddenly, Mr. Moore appears that things turn out as Mordred. He goes after Will and Marco. Meanwhile, Allie gets a toy sword that turns into a real sword. All are surprised that Allie King Arthur's successor, since only this one toy sword can turn into a real sword. All are transported to a beach where there will be a battle between King Arthur ( Allie ) and Mordred ( Mr. Moore). After the battle, they are transported back and Mr. Moore was arrested by the police. Will and the others go back to the game and win this. After the victory goes to Allie Will and kisses her. He also forgives Jen and Lance and hopes that the two will be happy. In the last scene, Allie Will, Miles, Marco, Lance and Jen sit at the Round Table.

The shooting took place in Auckland in New Zealand from 3 May to 3 June 2010. The Bethells Beach was used for the battle scenes.

The film was erstausgestrahlt in the U.S. on 12 November 2010 on the Disney Channel. He was seen by 3.85 million viewers. In Germany the first broadcasts took place at the local branch of the Disney Channel on January 29, 2011. In the free-TV film was first shown on April 6, 2012 at the ORF one and ProSieben. The first broadcast was followed on the TV station ProSieben of 1.20 million viewers.
