Ave Line

The Ave Line is a Latvian shipping company that operates between Lübeck- Travemünde and Riga.

History

The Ave Line was founded in 2000 and launched on 21 November 2008, the first ferry service between Travemünde and Liepāja.

After the Ave Line ( formerly Brave Merchant) was driven initially only with the chartered Ave Liepaja, the end of 2008, a second ship, the Ave Luebeck (formerly Dawn Merchant) chartered. Before this, however, had reached the Baltic Sea Region, the charter was canceled. After the charter of the Ave Liepaja had expired at the end of 2009, the ferry service for about four months fell from before the Baltic Amber (formerly Borja ) was provided as a successor ship into service in April 2010. After Scandlines took over the route from Travemünde to Liepāja, Ave Line ran first to the Latvian port of Ventspils before the service to Riga was changed.

On 14 October 2010 it was announced that the Baltic Amber was chartered as a replacement ship for wrecked Lisco Gloria at DFDS Lisco. This has Ave Line since 17 October 2010 on the ship no more.

Ave Liepaja (2008-2009)

1999 built as a Brave Merchant, for Merchant Ferries, in Seville, Spain. From 2006 - 2008 chartered for use between Palma and Barcelona from Iscomar and renamed Blanca del Mar. In November 2008, chartered by Ave Line and renamed Ave Liepaja for service between Travemünde and Liepāja. Beginning of December 2009 ended the last ride for the Ave Line with a technical problem and a related materiel dock period before Fredericia. Since March 2010 she has been in service for LD Lines between Boulogne -sur -Mer and Dover and was renamed the Norman Bridge.

Built in 1998 as a sister ship to the Dawn Merchant Ave Liepaja. In 2005 it was renamed for the first time in Europax Appia before it was chartered in 2006 by Balearia and was renamed in Pau Casals to drive between Valencia and Palma. The end of 2008 it was chartered by Ave Line and renamed Ave Luebeck. The ship should then be transferred from the Mediterranean to the Baltic Sea, but due to the economic crisis had to be canceled the charter so that the Ave Luebeck in the German Bight was several weeks at anchor. In April 2009, now called T -Rex ship found in T-Link Lines a new charterer and wrong since between Genoa and Termini Imerese .. July 8, 2013, the ship Stena Line between Karlskrona and Gdynia is employed.

Baltic Amber (2010)

The Baltic Amber was built for Balearia Borja in Porto Viro, Italy, 2007. They operated the route Barcelona - Palma. In March 2010 she was chartered by the Ave Line and renamed Baltic Amber. Before commissioning it was repainted and equipped in Rotterdam. It was an incident when a rescue boat came off and with three crew members crashed eight meters in depth.
