Azerbaijan women's national volleyball team

The Azerbaijani volleyball team of women is a selection of the best Azerbaijani players who the Azərbaycan voleybol Federasiyası represented in international tournaments and international matches. The team was founded in 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

History

World cup

The first participation in a World Volleyball Championship, the Azerbaijani women occupied the ninth. The 2006 World Cup, they finished in 13th place

Olympic games

Azerbaijan has never qualified for the Olympics.

European

At the European Championships in 2005 Azerbaijan celebrated his biggest success as a fourth. Two years later it reached at the European Championships in 2007 only to twelfth place.

World Cup

The World Cup was previously held without participation of Azerbaijan.

World Grand Prix

When volleyball World Grand Prix 2006 Azerbaijan was tenth.
