Azerbaijani National Badminton Championships
Azerbaijani championship in badminton will be played since the 1996/1997 season. In the same year launched the Junior Championships and the team competition.
The championships were from the USSR Championship forth in badminton. After the collapse of the Soviet Union Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine launch their own championships within the European Badminton Union EBU, while Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, a new home in the Asian Badminton Association found.
