Estonian National Badminton Championships

The Estonian Championships in badminton championship started in 1965 as the Estonian Soviet Republic. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1993 they are official Lander championships. The discharge of Junior Championships began in the same year, international title fights there are in Estonia since 2004. Club championships have been held only in 1996.

The championships were from the USSR Championship forth in badminton. After the collapse of the Soviet Union Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine launch their own championships within the European Badminton Union EBU, while Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, a new home in the Asian Badminton Association found.
