USSR National Badminton Championships

USSR 's singles in badminton championships were held from 1963 to 1991. A team competition there was only from 1988. 1969 launched the Junior Championships. International Championships of the USSR, there were from 1973. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine launch their own championships within the European Badminton Union EBU, while Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan found a new home in the Asian badminton Association.
